Mission Statement

The Emotional Well-Being and Economic Burden (EMOT-ECON)Network’s mission is to develop critical knowledge about the impact of economic burden of disease on emotional well-being of patients and families, with the ultimate goal of developing the strategies needed to reduce it.

Economic burden includes medical care expenses, income lost when sick, and other such economic consequences of disease.

Emotional well-being includes aspects such positive emotions, life satisfaction, sense of purpose, and ability to pursue goals.

Vision Statement

 

Our vision is to be the premier go-to resource for researchers who seek to advance and support research on emotional well-being and economic burden, and its translation into public health policy, patient advocacy and support, and innovations in health care delivery.
